Brother ADS scan to network

Solution

 

Scan to PC:

1.       Load drivers on to target PC.

2.       Ensure Brother ControlCentre4 is running (enable start on PC start-up, right click on taskbar icon > preferences).

3.       Open Brother ControlCentre4 > Device settings > Scan to Net settings.

4.       Log into Scanner, password is on back of scanner.

5.       Scan > Scan to PC > set to File

6.       Scan > Scan to network device.

7.       Select a Network device button and click the type dropdown > select scan to PC (Net Connect-File.

8.       Set destination to name of target machine.

9.       Click Submit.

10.   Load paper into scanner and press the corresponding network device button on the scanner.

11.   To change save location on target PC, open ControlCentre4 advanced mode > Device settings > Device scan settings > File.

 

Scan to Network location:

1.       Load drivers on to PC.

2.       Ensure Brother ControlCentre4 is running (enable start on PC start-up, right click on taskbar icon > preferences).

3.       Open Brother ControlCentre4 > Device settings > Scan to Net settings.

4.       Log into Scanner, password is on back of scanner.

5.       Scan > Scan to FTP/SFTP/Network/SharePoint > chose a profile (ie. Profile 1) and set to network.

6.       Scan > Scan to FTP/SFTP/Network/SharePoint Profile > click on profile.

7.       Set up profile. (Profile Name, share path (\) and auth settings, leave scan settings on default).

8.       Scan > Scan to network device.

9.       Select a Network device button and click the type drop-down > select scan Network.

10.   Set destination to name of Profile setup.
