Create OVPN Client Connection

Create OpenVPN Client Connection From NAS To OpenVPN Server

1. Control Panel -> Network -> Network Interface

Click the Create button

2. VPN Connection Method

Select OpenVPN (via importing .ovpn file)

3. General Settings

Enter a descriptive profile and the username and password assigned to the vpn user

Browse to the supplied .ovpn file

CA certificate is optional and can usually be left empty

Advanced options can be left empty

4. Advanced Settings

Use default gateway on remote network = disabled

Allow other network devices to connect through this Synology server's internet connection = disabled

Reconnect when the VPN connection is lost = enabled
