Factory Defaults and Hard Reset
The GUI and console (soft) reset commands, return the device to default but do not clear the internal storage of user data. A firmware upgrade may clear some user data but should leave the config folder intact.
A hard reset removes all user data from the device.

Operational modes
Logging into the device by the serial console or SSH produces a bash like prompt with access to the Linux shell. Many Linux commands are available but the router access is essentially read only. The shell does not provide tab completion or auto completion of any kind. Keywords, commands and parameters must be typed in full.
Typing [?] a question mark will list the available router commands.
Useful shell commands
Configuration mode
The device configuration is edited by entering the configure command.
Configuration mode can not be left while changes are outstanding.
SET and DELETE Command
The device is configured in real time using the set and delete commands. The configuration is arranged in a tree and node fashion. The question mark [?] key often provides a hint to the options available in the configuration path, but not always.
To enable IP forwarding between interfaces
set system ip forwarding on
To disable the NTP service
delete service ntp
