Solution

Some useful ffmpeg commands

1. Play audio from ssh on headless system

ffplay -nodisp -autoexit -i sample.wav

2. Play all after 5 seconds (seek hh:mm:ss [ms:us:)

ffplay -nodisp -autoexit -ss 00:00:05 -i sample.wav

3. Trim 5 seconds from start of sample

ffmpeg -ss 00:00:05 -i sample.wav output.wav
